Judy Jonas is a broker who handles the sale of inns, resorts, commercial buildings and vacation rental properties. Ms. Jonas works in partnership with Barry Cusick, who has been a commercial broker on the North Coast for more than two decades.

Before joining Mendo Realty in 2003, Ms. Jonas worked as an attorney for 24 years, and specialized primarily in complex litigation matters. Her legal career began in 1980 with a teaching fellowship at Georgetown Law Center. She later served as deputy city attorney in San Francisco and as an Assistant Professor at UC Berkeley teaching media law. Starting in the late 1980s, she worked with a Bay Area law firm handling complex litigation matters. That background, along with her experience handling major trials, prepared her well for the complex modern commercial real estate transactions she now handles.

A resident of Mendocino since 1995, Ms. Jonas is actively involved in community affairs, especially in the arts and education. Her husband, Wayne Jonas, M.D., is an emergency room physician at Mendocino Coast District Hospital, and her three teenagers attend the Mendocino schools.
